This is Lucky. I dont know her real name but we decided to call her that because she was lucky we found her.
I was in town shopping with a friend when she came up to us. We werent sure what she was like at first but then she just started to get all happy and wagging her tail. She looked about 8 or 9 years old, but she was so cute. We looked around but nobody was there, so we took her back to my friends house and phoned the blue cross but they said they cant take in a stray. So we were going to go to the police station but it was a sunday so it was closed. so we gave her some food and water and a bed while we thought about what to do next. we loved her and she loved us.
So it was getting later and later but nothing was happening. we put posters around everywhere and asked loads of people but nobody had seen her before.
then we remembered she could be microchipped so we took her to a vet to be scanned but she wasnt chipped. the vet said she could look after her for a night and then send her to a pound. so this happened and she took my friends number in case they couldnt find her owners. But then today (9th October) the owners rang from the posters and we told them were lucky was. they hung up on the phone without saying anything.
We hope Lucky gets home soon and that she will be looked after well
when we found her she was wearing a hard plastic collar and no name tag.
also her claws were really long almost into her pads. she was quite plumpy but was still very hungry.
